the Crafting an MBA book club starts next week

Made to StickI can’t believe next week is March already!  And with March comes the start of the Crafting an MBA book club.  To kick things off, we’ll be starting with one of my all time favorite business books – Made to Stick by Chip Heath and Dan Heath.  If you haven’t already picked up your copy, now is the time to do so!

So, how do you participate in the CMBA book club?  Well, to start I’m keeping it pretty informal (and free!)  You should download the suggested reading schedule for Made to Stick – this will keep everyone on track, and give you a little motivation to keep up.  Then, as you read, head on over to the CMBA book club blog – its an informal space to share, discuss, and debate what we’re reading.

Want a little more insight on how Made to Stick relates to your own creative business?  In addition to posting on the book club blog, I’ve got some more detailed posts planned for this site on using the concepts in Made to Stick to grow your own business.  Which means even if you don’t have time to read this month, you can still benefit from the book club!

So grab your book, download the suggested schedule, and get ready to read!

Want to be sure you don’t miss anything?  Sign-up for the Crafting an MBA e-newsletter, follow us on Twitter, and become a fan on Facebook.

Note: The link to Made to Stick is an affiliate link.  The book club is 100% free, but if you haven’t already bought the book, I would love it if you used my affiliate link.  It doesn’t cost you any more, and it helps support this site and keep it running!

Wow, thanks for hosting this! As an artist, it’s really hard for me to get through books like this, but the schedule you’ve set makes it manageable, along with providing an open forum for free. Wonderful idea. Can’t wait!

Excellent! I actually got Made to Stick out of the library last week, and haven’t started it yet. This will be perfect. Thanks so much for starting the book club.

I’ve ordered it, now just to wait. I am looking forward to reading this!

Can’t wait – book downloaded and ready for listening. Great blog and looking forward to a great reason to read (err, listen to) actual books!

Any possibility of revealing the title of the book for April? I always like to order enough at Amazon to qualify for super saver shipping.

Crystal – I just decided that April’s book will be Business and the Buddha: Doing Well by Doing Good

Looking forward to this. Having a place to talk about this kind of book will really make me read it. And I was amazed when I asked for the book at my local Barnes and Noble the gal knew exactly where it was! I did not have to do more than start to say the title! Must be popular!

My book arrived yesterday. I am looking forward to diving in. Like May said, I have a hard time getting through this type of book. I appreciate having a schedule and fellow readers to be accountable to.
